Why you need a Google+ Page for your Business

If you use the internet, then am sure you know about Google. Google is the leading search engine, where many turn – to surf the internet. Google Plus or Google+ is Google’s answer for social media; tackling Facebook and LinkedIn with one shot.

 

Many businesses and social media marketers in Nigeria usually concentrate on opening Facebook and maybe a LinkedIn business page, leaving behind Google+.  I will show you just two reasons why you should create and operate a Google+ page for your business.

Search Engine Recognition

Since Google is the number one search engine, it is obvious they will give a lot more preferences to businesses with pages on Google+. This tells us that businesses with high social presence and activity on G+ will rank better when compared to a competing brand without a G+ presence on the search engine.

Creating Hangouts

Nothing could be more fun than creating an opportunity for your customers to meet you one-on-one online through a video chat. Hangout is one feature that distinguishes Google from other social platforms. This tool could be useful for conducting online trainings, meetings, e-classes, webinars and demonstrations etc.

There are a lot more reasons for opening a Google+ business page, but i have focused on this two for brevity. I will cover more on Google plus for business in subsequent posts.
